I was hired as an interaction designer by Xero several weeks after finishing university, and couldn’t have hoped for a better full time position after studying. Xero is without a doubt the world’s best accounting system for small business, the darling of the New Zealand web industry run by the biggest names in New Zealand business, and gone from startup to an award winning international product in less than a year.
The role as part of the design and marketing team is a very encompassing one. My primary responsibility is the design of the xero.com website, but also ranges from architecture to brand development, print design to code, content to marketing direction and everything in between.
